Personal information collected by ACL is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of ACL except as stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

If a substantial data breach has or may have occurred (for example, your personal information was shared with unauthorised persons) we will notify you as soon as is practicable.

We only keep your personal information for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise required by law. We will take appropriate measures to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information if we no longer need to retain it. These measures may vary depending on the type of information concerned, the way it was collected and how it was stored.

5. How does ACL use login information?

ACL uses login information, including, but not limited to, IP addresses, ISPs, and browser types, to analyse trends, administer the Site, track user movement and use, and gather broad demographic information.

6. How does the Site keep Personal Information secure?

All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. Your personal information is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information such as credit card numbers or social security numbers are protected by encryption protocols to protect information sent over the internet. 8. Deleting or deactivating personal information collected by the Site?

We provide a mechanism to delete/deactivate personal information from the Site's database by contacting sales@aclconnect.com.au. However, due to automatic backups and records made of deletions, some residual information may be retained in the system. An individual who requests to have personal information deactivated will have this information functionally deleted. We will not sell, transfer, or use personal information relating to that individual in any way moving forward.

 

9. How we use cookies

As with most websites, when you visit our website or use an application on our website, we may record anonymous information such as IP address, time, date, referring URL, pages accessed and documents downloaded, type of browser and operating system.

The reasonable steps may not apply if you consent to the disclosure of your personal information to an overseas recipient and we reasonably believe that the overseas receipt is subject to laws that are suitability similar to privacy laws in Australia.

If you consent to the disclosure of your personal information to an overseas recipient, the overseas recipient may not be accountable under the Privacy Act, and you will not be able to seek redress for breaches under the Privacy Act.

We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is accurate, up-to-date and not misleading by updating our records whenever true and correct changes to the data come to our attention.

If you make an access request, we may ask you to verify your identity and put your request in writing for security reasons. We may charge a reasonable administration fee to cover the costs of meeting your request. We will reply to your request for access within 30 days of notification by you.

We do not use government identifiers (e.g. tax file numbers or Medicare numbers) to identify individuals.

20. Transfer of ownership

As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganisation, dissolution or similar event, your personal information may be part of the transferred assets. You acknowledge and agree that any successor to or acquirer of our business (or its assets) will continue to have the right to use your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

21. Complaints and disputes

22. What happens if the Privacy Policy Changes?

We will let our users know about changes to this Privacy Policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if we are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of personal information that a user has previously requested not be disclosed, we will contact such user to allow such user to prevent such disclosure.
