Rockhampton is home to the Stanwell Power Station, a 1,445 MW coal-fired facility located 30 km west of the city, providing substantial employment opportunities . Additionally, the region is investing in infrastructure projects like the $1.7 billion Rockhampton Ring Road and the $1 billion Rockhampton to Gladstone Pipeline, enhancing connectivity and supporting economic growth.
